Omega:PARK ("the App") is a community-powered parking app for finding and sharing parking spots in real time. This policy explains what information the App collects and how it is used.
Information We Collect
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. Your password is handled by our authentication provider (Supabase) and is never stored in plain text.
Profile information: Display name, avatar, and any "About Me" text you choose to add.
Location data: With your permission, the App accesses your device's GPS location to show your position on the map, provide turn-by-turn navigation, mark and find parking spots, and show nearby community activity. Location is only used while the App is in use, unless you separately grant background location access for active navigation.
User-generated content: Parking spot marks, notes, community posts ("Shouts"), push-style alerts (hazards, sweepers, etc.), and messages exchanged with friends through the App.
Social data: Friend connections, ratings/reliability scores, and XP/activity history generated through use of the App.
Locally stored data: Your saved "Find My Car" location and app preferences (such as theme and display mode) are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers unless needed to provide the feature.
How We Use Information
We use the information above to operate the App's core features: showing your location on the map, enabling navigation, letting you mark and find parking spots, connecting you with friends, and displaying community activity (hazards, available spots, shouts) relevant to your area.
How Information Is Shared
Information you choose to share (such as a parking spot mark, a community post, or a message) is visible to other users according to the audience you select (e.g. friends only, or a public radius). We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
The App uses the following third-party services to operate:
Supabase — authentication, database, and real-time data hosting.
Google Maps Platform — maps, navigation, and places/directions data.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account, directly in the App.
When you delete your account:
Permanently deleted: your login credentials, profile, friend connections, private messages, and any active/unclaimed parking spot marks.
Retained in anonymized form: community posts ("Shouts"), reliability ratings you gave or received, and completed parking handoffs are kept so that other users' history and ratings remain accurate. These records are reassigned to a generic "Deleted User" placeholder with no link back to your identity — your name, email, and profile are not retained alongside them.

Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
